During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Real-time procedures were executed on Aug 8 in preparation for a 48-minute-long, penumbral Lunar eclipse on Aug 9: one to activate SCS 29 and one to dump the EPS glitch counters. Chandra passed through the eclipse with nominal power and thermal performance. Real-time procedures were executed following the eclipse on Aug 9 to disable SCS29 and to dump and clear the EPS glitch counters. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of Swift J1818.0-1607, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Jul 26. |
